Leagues at Throw Baxe

Whether you are a seasoned pro or a beginner, our leagues have a place for you. League fees are $150 for eight weeks of league play, ending with a tournament.  League members receive discounted throwing and practice, the opportunity to compete at local axe tournaments representing Throw Baxe, earn points in WATL's (World Axe Throwing League) Global Leader Board and Build comradery with fellow league members! All leagues follow WATL (World Axe Throwing League) rules and regulations.

Hatchet League
The hatchet throwing league is an organized, competitive sport where participants regularly gather to throw hatchets (small axes) at wooden targets. The objective is to hit the bullseye or specific scoring areas marked on the target. Competitors usually aim for accuracy, precision, and consistency over a series of rounds. Hatchet league consists of 4 matches with 10 throws each. The league consists of 7 weeks of throwing for points and an eighth week with a tournament. Throw Baxe has two hatchet leagues to choose from, Sunday and Tuesday.  Summer hatchet league starts Tuesday July 8th from 7-9 through September 2nd.  Sunday league starts July 13th from 5-7 through September 7th
Duels League
The duels league consists of a team of two axe throwers throwing against another team for points. Duels league consists of 4 matches with 5 throws each. The scoring is a combined score of both throwers. 
Big Axe League
In this league, participants throw a larger and heavier axe compared to the standard hatchet used in regular leagues. The axe must weigh between 3.00 to 4.25 pounds, with the head weighing 2.25 to 3 pounds. Competitors throw from behind a 17-foot line, but not beyond the 15-foot mark. The league consists of 4 matches with 7 throws in each for 7 weeks ending in a tournament at week 8. 
Knife League
Knife throwing as a sport involves the skillful and precise act of throwing knives at a target from a set distance.
The throwing distance can vary, but for most competitions, it's between 10 to 15 feet. Some competitions have fixed distances, while others might increase the distance progressively. Knives are specific to the World knife throwing league standards and demensions. Please check with Throw Baxe Axperts before purchasing any knives to use for the purpose of leagues.
